curb — an entry

A mock dictionary entry for the word curb, set against a hard right margin the text dies on. Senses one to three stop at the wall. Sense four — the sense about reaching the edge of a medium — is the only one that breaches it, running four lines past the curb and shearing off mid-word.

How to view

Read the entry. Watch what happens to sense 4 at the right margin.

Curator’s note

Exists as two files — a plain-text “found object” and the HTML twin shown here, whose fixed-width frame physically clips the overrun.
