立ち聞きされた十八語の文が、13×7の歩道グリッドの一マスから放送され、向こう端への到達を試みる。各語は波面であり、距離がそれを減衰させる。大半の語は安いマスで——マイナーリーグで——言いさしのまま死ぬ。最も遠くまで届く積荷は、文中のあからさまな偽の事実。いちばん大声で言われるがゆえに増幅されている。その試みのログこそが詩だ：損傷した書き起こし、語よりも空白のほうが騒がしく、最後は「搬送波あり、変調なし」で終わる。
